Are you stuck on what to do with the empty walls in your house right now? Or maybe you’ve had the same decor up for YEARS and you are just over it at this point. Or, if you are like me you want to change it out every few months and rearrange your wall art like you do your furniture! (anyone else??)
I’ve created a breakdown on how to add personalized wall decor that looks amazing together. We see the beautifully structured gallery walls everywhere, and they are great for a room or two in the house- but they are easy. Sorry, it’s the truth. Gallery walls are kind of played out. How to Choose Paint Colors That Go Together
The biggest question I get from my clients is where to even start. They have scoured Pinterest and know what they kind of like- but there are so. many. Pins! They don’t know where to even start to pull it all together.
Start with one thing you LOVE, this can be a piece of Art, a pillow, a piece of furniture, a rug. Chances are, you have come across SOMETHING that you just totally love but you don’t know how it will work in the room so you just stare at it- longingly- hoping it will just work in the room with all the other stuff you find in your endless shopping. Praying, it will all come together somehow.
Below you will find a few color palette ideas to get you started. I’ve also included 1 element that you can order now to start your project!Read More
What is the right size rug for your living room?
So many times I walk into a house and I don’t want to pick out decorating issues but I can’t help it! The first thing I generally notice (aside from curtains being hung at the wrong height) is if the rug is too small for the room. It typically isn’t too large for the room, I usually see a rug that’s just too puny for the space!
Below you will find a couple examples on what to do in a SQUARE room and a long vertical space along with indicators on how to fill out the space best.

But they can be tricky to decorate because there is a lot of awkward walls and difficulty making the areas flow together. One of the best ways to join open concept spaces is to connect your rugs. By looking for common denominators in rugs you can make them work seamlessly and create a scene of harmony with your color palette.
