6 Designer Pillow Arrangements That Wont Break the Bank!

I've been a pillow arrangement maniac for the past couple of weeks, creating designs for my clients that are ready to get their houses in order for the long awaited spring time!  I am a sucker for a neutral palette with pops of green or blue- but I always want to create something that you don't see in stores, that you cant buy at wayfair or target. My goal for every single pillow configuration is to make something unique and tailored with custom selections from sources that you have probably never heard of. Small businesses! I look at Etsy shops because I know 9 times out of 10 the quality is good (what you pay for) and you will always find something with a designer edge. Granted, you can't find everything you need in an Etsy store- so you may need to venture out a little bit, but that's ok!

Below you will see 6 designer curated modern farmhouse pillow arrangements that are sure to spruce up your home for springtime! I love to mix patterns, textures and shades to create a unique and personalized collection. Click on the pillow pictures to by the pillows and feel free to mix match to match your color palette.

I love choosing pillow cover options that you can use with your existing pillow covers. This gives you endless opportunities to change them out for spring, summer and fall. And also easy to clean!  If you are looking for inexpensive pillow inserts you might try Homegoods and get clearance pillows (no matter how ugly) and just use the feather down blend, or poly filled insert. Personally I'm not a fan of feather pillows for every day use, I think that they deflate over time and don't hold their shape. You are also plucking feathers every once in a while- not something I want to be doing when I'm watching TV! You can also find affordable pillow inserts at Target, Amazon, Crate and Barrel (to name a few).

Designer farmhouse pillow arrangements

This arrangement is perfect for a dark sofa or sectional. You can really soften up your modern farmhouse look with this really neutral pillow collection.  It is simple with shades of linen, cream, gray and blue.  I mixed french stripe pillows with an elegant Ikat pattern (that has super cute optional tassels!) and a customized "Let's Stay Home" pillow in the front.

farmhouse neutral pillow arrangement

This arrangement has a softer element with a neutral fuzzy cream accent pillow paired with a blueish gray pattern pillow and a neutral tone on tone trellis pattern lumbar pillow to tie to it together.

Blue and gray farmhouse pillows

Add a punch of color in your white gray and blue color palette. As a large neutral use a square pattern stripe pillow paired with a blue ikat dot, gray and white diamond and blue pom pom lumbar pillow.  The two neutral gray and white pillows create layers against the pops of color so it isn't overwhelming. Though there are a lot of patterns they are all subtle and are in the same color family.  Works well with both light and dark sofas.

light teal, cream an tan pillow arrangement

This color palette is soft with a combination of boho, coastal farmhouse. I used a neutral seafoam solid and played off smaller prints to tie it in with out feeling heavy and dark.  The front pillow is a white stripe neutral with a grayish tan accent that is also found (but reversed) in the nearly solid back pillow. This combo is light enough you can use it with  dark sofa or a light one!

teal and gray boho farmhouse pillows

I love this combination of modern farmhouse, boho and coastal pillows.  While almost all of them have a pattern they have something in common to tie them all together. The various teals mixed white white and cream and diamonds and stripe patterns mix seemlessly together to create one cohesive blend of pillows.

Modern farmhouse pillow collection

This configuration includes a neutral white stripe farmhouse pillow with a rich elegant blue pop of color. In the middle is a beautiful neutral lumbar pillow that ties the grays and tans together. Remember its OK to mix grays with tans! I love mixing the cool tones of gray with warm tans to create a cohesive look.  Not a lot of homes have just one or the other- doing this blends the color palette to create a seamless yet collected look!
